Our PI's & staff is trained and certified to perform clinical research. We have partnered with and continue to receive up-to-date clinical/medical training from our partner associations and certifying bodies (e.g. SoCRA, etc).

Overview
HCMRI is a well established research institute that has built a stellar reputation, our goal is to meet and exceed the expectations of every client and patient service need. We take on all types of projects from small domestic work to larger commercial projects, all carried out to the highest standards, and at very competitive prices.
HCMRI works with all major pharmaceutical companies and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) on Phase II to IV studies of cancer and research to address health inequities in cancer among the Hispanic community.
Cancer is the leading cause of death for Hispanics in the United States at a rate of 22.0% (45-64 yr old men) and 25.9% (65-84 yr old men) per U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (2021). Both Hispanic men and women are almost twice as likely to have, and to die from, liver cancer than non-Hispanic whites. Hispanic men and women are twice as likely to be diagnosed with stomach cancer, and twice as likely to die from stomach cancer, as compared to non-Hispanic white men and women. Hispanic women are 40% more likely to be diagnosed with cervical cancer, and 30% more likely to die from cervical cancer, as compared to non-Hispanic white women.
Cancer research and addressing disparities medicine for health equity are main priorities for the Hispanic Cancer Medicine Research Institute. In addition to serving with clinical trial designs that increase trial population diversity, HCMRI works to increase enrollment of members from the underrepresented population of Hispanics in clinical trials.

HCMRI principal investigators(PIs)/co-PIs/sub-investigators adhere to International Conference for Harmonization Guideline for Good Clinical Practice E6(R2) (ICH/GCP), ICH Clinical Safety Data Management: Definitions and Standards for Expedited Reporting (E2A), the United States Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) to promote recognition and continuing excellence in the ethical conduct of clinical trials.

Our partnership with Hispanic Cancer Health Foundation (HCHF)
Provide cancer research educationHCMRI fosters a collaborative environment with the community to provide cancer research education/development; evaluate & screen cancer patients; and conduct scholar-led cancer research.
In an effort to ease the cancer burden on our community, HCMRI developed the nonprofit Hispanic Cancer Health Foundation (HCHF) to address the importance of Hispanics participating in clinical research studies an internship/fellowship, a structured mentoring program, webinar series of workshops, and connection to both local & national mentoring resources.

How to register for vaccinations?

Does the clinical research site accept my home tests?
Yes. Our clinical research site has an established protocol to accept patient samples for our clinical research studies conducted by our physician investigators at either our site or the PI's clinic. If I suspect cancer, how can I find a bilingual doctor who will accept my insurance?
