How to decide if you want to be in a clinical trial or research study?
Research is not treatment. There is no guarantee that you will be helped by participating in a study. However, you will help cancer medicine researchers/physician-scientists to better understand cancer, and possible help other Hispanic people in the future.
Who can be enrolled in a clinical research study?
Participation is completely voluntary, and each research study has strict requirements for who can participate as a subject in that study. A member of our research team will discuss the study with you, answer any questions, and tell you if you can be a subject.
Remember, if you have any questions at any time, we are available to talk to you or your family in English or Spanish. Recuerda, si tiene alguna pregunta en cualquier momento, estamos disponibles para hablar con usted o con su familia en inglés o español.
Are you participant in a clinical trial or patient outreach program? We welcome cancer patient survivors/their family to visit with our bilingual staff either in-person or in our virtual telehealth platform in order to easily get in touch with a patient-advocate, patient-navigator, or clinical study coordinator.
Are you seeking a research-scholar?Physicians with Hispanic cancer patients in an outpatient setting or community clinic, and oncologists/surgical oncologists are welcome to send email to connect with us.
